So Much Fun

Abigail slept really well last night.  She went to bed at 5:30 and didn't wake up until 5:00 this morning.  Then she took a nap most of the time she was at the babysitter's house.  By the time I got home she was rested and in a great mood.  We hung out in her bedroom this afternoon.  I put on some fun (non-lullaby) music and let her play while I worked on reorganizing her closet and some of the things in her room.  I was pretty much done organizing her room when she got tired of playing with her little rattles and jungle animals.  So, I picked her up and we just danced and sang to the music.  In the middle of that, Papa called on his break at work.  We had fun talking to him for a few minutes.   After that we just kept on playing.  She even tried out the doll rocking chair Matt made for his Eagle Scout project.  She loved it!  It is just her size!!

After she tired of playing in the chair, she took a bath.  She loves the bath.  She loves to kick and splash all over the place.  At this point she seemed kind of tired.  I went to make her a bottle so she wouldn't wake up hungry during the night.  When I came back she had rolled over onto her side and she was asleep.

I was totally shocked that she fell asleep like that.  Normally putting her to bed is such a production.  All the variables have to be just right.  She must have been really tired, because normally she can't stand any light at all and she has to have her lullaby music.  I can almost never get her to go to sleep without falling asleep eating.  If I try to put her to sleep by just putting her in bed, normally she has to cry herself to sleep.  I'm not sure exactly what was different tonight, but I will definitely have to do whatever it was again!
