Fire Station Fun
Abigail missed her school field trip to the fire station since they went on the day that she doesn't come. She asked me to take her. So, I called to see if I needed to make an appt. They told me they were having an open house coming up for families. So, on Thursday I texted the Watsons to see if they wanted to go with us. She called me later and told me they were already going for Marlow's birthday. We made plans for when to meet at the firehouse. The kids got to decorate fire hydrant sugar cookies, go in the smoke trailer and learn about fire safety, get their faces painted, do a relay course and get up in a fire engine and an ambulance. It was pretty fun. There was a reporter from the Davis Clipper who took a picture of Abigail and Mayli and I think Marlow. She took down their names and then interviewed Melissa (Mayli and Marlow's mon) and Marlow about why they had come. It was pretty hilarious to watch the reporter try to interview Marlow. He would answer one question and then try to run off. They kept on having to call him back to the reporter to answer more questions. Melissa apologized to the reporter. The reporter just responded that it is always interesting interviewing 6 year olds. (P.S. It has taken me quite a while to get this on the blog. Today the Davis Clipper came out and the picture with Mayli, Marlow and Abigail was in it with a nice caption naming them all.)
